Video surveillance across a county fairground

A fairground is two different sites across one year. For most of it, it is a large, open, largely unattended property — buildings, barns, and equipment spread across acres with no one on hand overnight. For fair week it turns into one of the busiest venues in the county, with thousands of people, cash handling, livestock, and vehicles moving through the same ground.

Both states are hard to cover. The quiet months invite trespass and theft from outbuildings that sit well away from any occupied structure, and the busy week needs coverage that helps staff manage crowds, gates, and parking rather than just recording what went wrong.

Reliant designed camera coverage that works in both states: fixed views on the buildings, barns, and equipment that need watching year-round, and coverage of the gates, midway, and parking areas that matter during the fair itself.

Recording was sized so footage is still there when an incident surfaces after the event, and the system was built to be viewed remotely — a fairground has no security office staffed through the winter, so the people responsible for it need to be able to look from wherever they are.
